Three upcoming workshops will cover the following topics: Doula Skills; Learning Styles; and Marketing.

Workshop titles and complete details will be finalized prior to each workshop date insha’Allah.

The Professional Access Pass (at the special summit price of only $147) includes registration to the three professional workshops covering these topics: Doula Skills; Listening Skills; and Fertility Awareness.

The other five professional workshops that are included with the Professional Premium Access may also be purchased individually at a later time.

The workshops started in June 2020 and were tentatively planned to take place every few weeks over about a four-month period. Participants have been updated to changes to this schedule. Currently, five workshops have taken place and three are still pending.

Summit attendees who purchase the Professional Access Pass and Professional Premium access pass will be given unlimited access starting from the beginning of the program in June 2020 to rewatch summit replays and access the professional workshops on the AMANI Birth Online learning platform.

The professional workshops will first be streamed live and then recordings will uploaded into the course page at amanibirth.online.

Each participant will log into the website using their own username and password to access the content.

In the future, AMANI Birth affiliates (certified childbirth educators and doulas) will be required to complete a number of continuing education units (CEUs) for the annual renewal of their AMANI Birth affiliation. The final details of the CEU system is still under development.

The CEUs acquired through attending the AMANI Birth Online Summit will count towards affiliation renewal insha’Allah.

In addition to being a requirement for renewal, the CEUs may also serve as an indication to clients that the affiliate has continued to engage in ongoing professional development.

Professional and Professional Premium participants will be required to submit feedback for each talk given at the summit and for each workshop attended to receive the credits. The feedback submission will be integrated into the learning platform online.

Professional participants can receive up to 8 CEUs (5 for summit talks and 3 for the workshops). Professional Premium can receive up to 13 CEUs (5 for the summit talks and 8 for the workshops).

The Professional or Professional Premium Access Passes include the Certificate of Attendance. After completion of the summit and workshops, attendees must submit feedback to demonstrate they attended or listened to the talks and workshops to get the certificate.

All other attendees can also purchase a Certificate of Attendance after submitting feedback for the talks to demonstrate their attendance.

AMANI Birth trainees and affiliates (or other interested childbirth educators and doulas) may qualify to obtain the AMANI Birth Professional Development badge to demonstrate their enhanced skills through attending the summit talks and the professional workshops.

A candidate must already be certified or in-training as a childbirth educator or doula, or currently work as a medical professional, in order to qualify for the badge. They may be asked to provide proof of these qualifications or work experience. Candidates are not required to have been previously certified or trained through AMANI Birth.

To obtain the badge, participants must submit feedback demonstrating that they attended or listened to every summit talk and workshop and complete a final assessment within a specified time.

Once acquired, the AMANI Birth Professional Development Badge is valid for two years.

Please note that the AMANI Birth Professional Development Badge does not train or qualify birth professionals to formally teach others the AMANI Birth curriculum. The content of the workshops is intended to inform their practice and enhance their professional skills.
